  • This is a powerful elastic laminated membrane with a long life. The unique non-porous hydrophilic membrane is waterproof, windproof, breathable and up to twice as elastic. The material is waterproof up to a water column height of 20,000 mm.
  • A functional combination of different types of fibres that give woven and knitted materials their multifunctionality. They prolong the lifespan, soften the surface, improve movement, speed up drying and keep the body dry.
  • You need to keep warm when in the mountains. A synthetic Polartec® fleece shows excellent durability and insulating properties. You’ll use a different type of Polartec® material for every sport or hike. The most advanced is the ultra-light Polartec® ALPHA® with excellent breathability, thermal insulation and rapid drying.
  • The insulation material PrimaLoft® is closest to paper in its properties. The fine fibre with low weight insulates perfectly while retaining its thermal insulation functions even when wet. Its more innovative offshoots are PrimaLoft® Down Blend and Primaloft® ThermoPlume. PrimaLoft® Insulation Eco Black is made from 60% recycled material and industrial plastic waste.
  • Softshell is a universal functional material that thoroughly protects against the wind. Although it doesn’t provide absolute waterproofness, thanks to the membrane and hydrophobic surface treatment, it doesn’t disappoint even in humid conditions.   • The capability of a functional material to withstand external moisture. The value of water resistance is given in the form of a water column in mm. For maximum durability, the seams are taped, as with the NORTHKIT collection. Learn more about waterproofness and hydrophobicity.
LAYERING
  • Hardshell is the name of the top functional, most often laminated membrane, which guarantees waterproofness and wind resistance. It protects against extreme weather. Rain, wind and even snow have no chance at all.

  • The goal of the insulating middle layer is to protect against the loss of body heat and to take moisture away from the body to support the function of the outer layer. Thanks to this layer, a pleasant body temperature is maintained in all conditions.
  • A hardshell protective outer layer will protect you in any extreme weather conditions. It must have a good combination of breathability and water resistance, e.g. elastic softshell jackets with taped seams. It may contain Dermizax™ EV material with water resistance up to 20,000 mm.
